Surface treatment is the process method of artificially forming a layer on the surface of the matrix material that is different from the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of the matrix, in order to meet the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, decorative or other special functional requirements of the product. Polishing refers to the processing method that reduces the surface roughness of the workpiece through artificial, mechanical or electrochemical methods to obtain a bright and smooth surface. Materials commonly used for polishing are steel, copper and aluminum.
